The new Mini-DP adapters that will allow you to connect your new laptop to the widely used current standards of DVI interface.

6. Connect a DVI HDTV or advanced digital monitor, such as the 20- or 23-inch Apple Cinema Display, to a MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air with a Mini DisplayPort

   
NOTE: 
This adapter does NOT support analog signal. 
It will only output a digital signal.

Audio is not possible on a Mac via Mini DP alone
